Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a part-time opportunity. You will take radiographs, x-rays of patients, which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment, and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner. Your Tasks and Responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist
Rad Tech may include but are not limited to:
• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment, including surgical, portable, trauma, general, and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures. • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation, utilizing appropriate lead markers, as well as date and time stickers where indicated. • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient needs and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated. • Prepare transfer and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty, safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated. • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time. • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist. • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of tables, equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep rooms stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
Qualifications
2-year Associate degree Hospital-based Radiologic Technology program Valid ARRT certification Clear, active Florida Department of Health licensure CRT Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
