Position Overview
As a Full Time Radiologic Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in radiologic procedures, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to physician orders
- Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently while following established imaging protocols
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to the interpreting physician
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record
- Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection prevention protocols
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout every interaction
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Previous radiology experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital-based radiology experience
- Experience with digital radiography and PACS systems
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Exceptional customer service and patient care skills
