Job Purpose
- Assist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities, supporting patient care, safety, and comfort
- Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Final year of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Eligible for ARRT (R) certification upon graduation
Work Experience:
- Clinical rotation experience through an approved educational program
- Will be required to obtain modality-specific certifications (CT, MRI, or Mammography) within 1 year of orientation, based on assigned modality
Job Roles:
Clinical Support:
- Assist with imaging procedures under supervision including patient positioning, equipment operation, and image acquisition
- Verify patient identification and procedure accuracy; obtain informed consent when required
- Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions
Modality Exposure:
- CT: Observe and assist with imaging and interventional procedures under CT guidance
- MRI: Assist with MRI exams, patient screening, and safety protocols
- Mammography: Support screening and diagnostic mammography procedures; prepare patients and maintain compliance with MQSA standards
