The Rail Coordinator will lead all rail operations and fleet management at ALTIVIA. This position will report to the Supply Chain Director and will be located in Houston, TX.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate mobile repair unit (MRU) callouts and progress, working closely with plant and Customer Care
- Manage shop interface for all repairs, requalifications, and specifications (closures, gaskets, and o-rings)
- Lead interface with QTS, railroads, lessors, and all other rail vendors, and keep plant teams informed
- Maintain information flows between all partners, including letters of authorization (LOA) and data exchange
- For non-standard movements, hot items, and re-bills, provide white-glove visibility leveraging QTS track & trace
- Manage railcar utilization, compliance, and fleet classification; work with QTS fleet coordinator
- Coordinate regulatory response, for any notices from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
- Analyze fleet sizing by business and railcar type, establish and monitor KPI's for dwell and asset utilization
- Tabulate railcar demurrage and participate in order execution, interface with Customer Care for order creation
- Work with Logistics Analyst to administer all data rail freight accruals, support annual rate refresh with railroads
- Review and approve rail invoices, reviewing backup documentation and coordinating with QTS fleet coordinator
- Coordinate railcar procurement: on-hire, cleaning, and off-hire for leases, and purchase / sale for owned railcars
- Create routes in railroad systems, and maintain rate & route master for use in accounting and contract renewals
- Manage rail storage and rail service invoicing, working with accounting and providing backup documentation

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or business preferred
Previous rail or logistics coordination experience preferred
