Job SummaryThe Field Engineer supports the Project Manager and is responsible for the oversight of most major aspects of the project, including organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers, planning for costs, and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent on various tasks.The base compensation range for role of Field Engineer in San Diego, CA posted above is $73,000 to $ 110, 000.

Job Functions

Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman and crews to ensure that work plans are tracked and analyzed to maximize efficiency and safetyAssist in developing and updating the project schedule.Ensure quality objectives are being met for the projectMay supervise the work of other project resources and provide mentoring and coachingPrepare field material take-offsInitiate and prepare requisitions for the procurement of services, materials, and equipment necessary to support the project scheduleSchedule and coordinate the release of construction design documents in support of the construction scheduleAssist in cost tracking and help maintain budget controlsTrack quantities, materials, and equipment usage on-siteAdditional responsibilities requested by Project Management teamConduct safety audits, perform job hazard analyses (JHAs), manage site-specific safety plans and support our Safety/Zero Harm culture

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field of study required5 years of Heavy Civil/Rail construction experience in a related Engineer role requiredDesign-build construction project experience is preferredProficient in Microsoft Office suite and Primavera P6 requiredHeavy Civils & Rail construction project experience preferredBilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
