Road & Rail Services is hiring dependable Railcar Prep employees to support our Kansas City operation. In this role, you will inspect, clean, and prepare railcars so they are ready for safe transport.

This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced outdoor environment. You will use backpack blowers, scraping devices, hand tools, and welding equipment to clean railcars and complete minor repairs when needed.

What You'll Do

As a Railcar Prep employee, you will help make sure each railcar is clean, inspected, and ready to move. You will also identify damage and assist with repairs that can be completed by Road & Rail Services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting railcars for damage, wear, and repair needs
• Opening and closing railcar end doors
• Removing debris and contaminants using blowers and scraping tools
• Performing basic stick welding and minor railcar repairs

You will also maintain assigned equipment, keep your work area clean, and follow all company, customer, and industry safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for reliable employees who work well with others, follow instructions, and are comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment.

Qualified candidates must have:

• Previous stick welding experience
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• The ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment
• Reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset

Previous railcar, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, construction, or general labor experience is helpful.
