Railroad Laborer / Crew Driver
Pay:$18.00 per hour Location:Cleveland, OK 74020(Reporting to the Port of Catoosa and traveling to surrounding job sites) Shift:Monday Friday | 7: 00 AM 3: 30 PM(Typically No Weekends) Job Type:Temp-to-Hire Job Order #:125505 Position Overview We are seeking a dependable Railroad Laborer / Crew Driver to join a railroad maintenance team serving the Port of Catoosa and surrounding areas. This position combines driving responsibilities with hands-on railroad maintenance work, requiring candidates to safely transport crew members to job sites while assisting with physically demanding maintenance projects.
The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and enjoys working outdoors in a team-oriented environment. Required Experience & Skills Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Ability to perform strenuous physical labor throughout the shift Reliable transportation to the Port of Catoosa reporting location Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Comfortable working outdoors in extreme heat and varying weather conditions Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drive a crew cab truck to transport crew members safely between the Port of Catoosa and assigned job sites Assist with railroad maintenance and repair projects Replace railroad ties and remove damaged materials Pull and remove railroad spikes using hand tools and equipment Perform general labor and material handling duties throughout the workday Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines Support crew members with additional railroad maintenance tasks as assigned Preferred Qualifications Previous railroad, construction, or heavy industrial labor experience Experience operating hand tools and working in physically demanding environments Experience driving work trucks or transporting crews Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform strenuous manual labor Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive movement Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and changing weather conditions throughout the shift Ability to safely wear required PPE while performing railroad maintenance work Work Environment Outdoor railroad construction and maintenance sites Daily travel between the Port of Catoosa and surrounding job locations Physically demanding work in a safety-focused environment Required PPE: Steel-toe boots and jeans. Hard hats and safety vests are provided by the company.
