Rainbow Club Faculty Advisor - Lawrence School (Stipend) - 2026-2027 School Year

Rainbow Clubs are intended to serve as safe spaces for students to explore identity and build community and belonging. It is managed by a teacher facilitators that provide an inclusive place for students to meet and:

• Support one another and gain greater insights on their personal experiences
• Explore personal identity/expression
• Work to end harassment and discrimination

Three typical functions of a Rainbow Club include providing support, building community, and taking action to create change within the school. Examples of topics that may be discussed include projects aimed at creating a safe, welcoming and accepting school environment for all students. We strive to create a safe space for community building and learning. Grades 4-8

Adult facilitators are expected to:

• Facilitate Rainbow Club meetings 1-2x monthly
• Collaboratively work with colleagues and school leadership to organize professional development opportunities for faculty on how to support student diversity better
• Use out of school time to thoughtfully plan Rainbow Club student meetings, activities, and draft communications for the school community __ educators and families
