Specialized Ranch Hand (Farming and Land Management)

We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and motivated Specialized Ranch Hand to support daily ranch operations with a strong focus on land maintenance, farming, equipment operation, welding and with mechanical skills.  This position is well suited for an individual with hands-on agricultural experience who takes pride in maintaining productive land, safely operating machinery, and contributing to the success of a working ranch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field preparation activities, including plowing, tilling, planting, and soil conditioning
• Assist with crop establishment and ongoing maintenance, including irrigation setup, operation, and monitoring
• Clear land of brush, debris, and obstacles to maintain and expand usable acreage
• Maintain and improve ranch trails, roads, and access routes to ensure safe and efficient travel
• Building, inspecting and maintaining fencing
• Operate and maintain farm and ranch equipment, including tractors, plows, mowers, and utility vehicles
• Maintenance and upkeep of farming equipment
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on equipment and ranch tools
• Monitor land conditions and report concerns such as erosion, drainage issues, or pest activity
• Support seasonal projects and assist with general ranch operations as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in farming, ranching, or agricultural operations preferred
• Prior welding, mechanic and maintenance experience
• Proven ability to operate agricultural machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong working knowledge of land management and maintenance practices
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage tasks effectively
• Physically capable of performing strenuous outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with irrigation systems and water management
• Knowledge of soil health, crop cycles, and seasonal farming practices
• Trail construction, land clearing, or site preparation experience
• Welding, fabrication, or small - engine repair skills
• Experience with mechanics, maintenance and fence building

Full time position.

Hiring range: $18 - $22 per hour - depending on experience.
