Green Cell Consulting is seeking a highly qualified ROPD Curriculum Developer to support Marine Corps training and readiness. In this role, you will transform instructional design expertise into life-saving operational training by building immersive, performance-based training modules for the next generation of range professionals. If you're passionate about military education, instructional design, and supporting the nation's most elite warfighters, we want to hear from you.
Because this position directly supports the U.S. Marine Corps, we highly encourage transitioning service members and veterans to retain their actual military terminology on their resumes. Please do not "civilianize" your military experience (e.g., use "Commanding Officer" rather than "CEO," or "Sergeant Major" rather than "Director of HR"). We understand and value your military ranks, titles, and operational experience.
Founded in 2014, Green Cell Consulting is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) committed to delivering superior learning and management services. Our core values—Trust, Service, and Value—guide our approach to providing purpose-driven individuals who deliver industry-leading services.
The ROPD Curriculum Developer serves as an Instructional System Specialist responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating range management training and education products for the Range and Training Area Management (RTAM) community. Employ the Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE) to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate training pertaining to range safety, operations, and management topics and issues, including the development of detailed performance-based testing scenarios that simulate or represent actual job functions as derived from Front End Analyses.
Conduct front-end analyses to develop Training and Readiness (T&R) events that define job performance.
Conduct learning analyses to generate knowledge, skills, and attitude listings and develop learning objectives that translate job performance to the training environment.
Develop training materials including lesson plans, media (slides, graphics, photographs), storyboards, interactive multimedia instruction, test items, performance scenarios, and course schedules.
Develop lesson plans consisting of detailed instructor guides that provide all instructional content required for instructors to rehearse and deliver training effectively.
Develop slides and instructional materials that may include complex animations simulating computer-based software functionality.
Create storyboards consisting of narrative content, descriptions of media and learner interactions, branching logic, and instructions for programmers and graphic artists.
Research and develop content and formatting for publications, reference manuals, and pocket guides.
Conduct formative and summative evaluations to determine training effectiveness and implementation success, reporting recommended revisions through detailed evaluation reports.
Participate in briefings, conferences, and working groups and deliver presentations regarding SATE methodologies and current development efforts.
Analyze and identify gaps in existing ROPD range training curricula and determine new tasks and objectives for inclusion in current programs of instruction.
Design, develop, and deliver illustrations, animations, and other graphics supporting ROPD-specific development requirements.
Develop and edit graphics, digital video, photographs, and other media supporting training products using current graphic design technologies and software applications.
Participate in weekly onsite ROPD synchronization meetings and provide reports detailing outcomes and recommended course changes.
Recommend adjustments to course development and student deliverables based on End of Course Critiques, After Action Reports, Learning Experience Review Boards, Curriculum Review Boards, or as directed by the COR.
Active Secret security clearance required.
Bachelor’s Degree required; or
