About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel RN to join our Renal Med/Surg Telemetry team in beautiful Tuscaloosa, AL.

As a member of our 36-bed Renal Unit, you’ll play a vital role in caring for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, including those requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Our team works closely with nephrologists, hospitalists, and family practice providers to deliver outstanding, patient-centered care.

Position Highlights

• Unit Type: Med/Surg Telemetry – Renal Focus

• Patient Ratio: 1:6

• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed

• Collaborative Environment: Strong support from interdisciplinary teams and leadership

Qualifications

Education – Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Certifications – Required:

• AHA or Red Cross BLS Certification

Licenses – Required:

• Active RN License – Alabama or Compact (No temporary licenses accepted)

• NURSYS verification required

Experience – Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience (will consider 18 months with strong references)

• At least 1 year of experience in the specialty area (Renal, Med/Surg, or Telemetry)
