Volt is immediately hiring for a temp to hire 1st shift Production Line Lead in Oceanside, Ca. 

The RAW Production Lead supports daily operations in assigned areas by coordinating workflow, guiding team members, and ensuring processes run safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role works closely with the Production Manager to maintain consistent output.

As a Production Line Lead you will:

• Lead daily operations: Assign tasks, ensure production goals are met, and provide direction to team members.

• Train new employees: Support onboarding with process training, equipment setup, safety, GMPs, and company SOPs.

• Prepare production: Confirm ingredients, equipment, and materials are ready before startup.

• Coordinate start-ups: Manage timely line setups, changeovers, and cross-department collaboration.

• Ensure compliance: Monitor CCPs, process controls, and time parameters to meet HACCP and USDA/FSIS standards.

• Perform quality checks: Conduct weight and quality checks with accurate documentation.

• Communicate with management: Report production status, downtime, and adjustments to the Production Manager.

• Troubleshoot equipment: Address minor issues and coordinate with Maintenance as needed.

• Promote safety & teamwork: Model positive interactions and uphold safety, GMP, HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs, and housekeeping standards.

• Support continuous improvement: Help reduce waste, improve yields, and streamline workflows.

This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold environment

• Willing to work directly with raw meat

• Prior machine operating experience

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the day

• Basic computer and technology skills

• Bilingual (Spanish-speaking preferred)

• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role

• Available to work 1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (hours may vary), Saturday as needed. OT during week as needed

NOTE: Production, Machine Operator and Material Handler positions are also available. 

Pay Rate: $24.00-28.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
