Permanent Full-time or Part-time RDH - Assistant/Dental Assistant position in an El Cerrito, California general dental office. This office is looking for someone to take 2-5 days a week with the schedule being Every other Monday 8-5, Tuesday - Thursday 8-5 and Fridays 7-1. Duties and Responsibilities
-Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling
and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays
-Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of
effective oral hygiene methods
-Communicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or
periodontal needs
-Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care
slips) and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients
Qualifications
Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
