About the Role:
Tender Smiles 4 Kids of Monmouth is looking for a skilled and compassionate RDA Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team in Freehold, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fun, kid-friendly environment where you'll play a key role in helping young patients achieve beautiful, confident smiles.



Responsibilities:

• Assist orthodontist chairside during patient exams, adjustments, and orthodontic procedures
• Place and remove orthodontic brackets, bands, wires, and elastics under orthodontist supervision
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions/digital scans
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for each patient appointment
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment per infection control protocols

Requirements:

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of New Jersey
• Prior orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, banding, and bonding procedures
• Current X-ray certification required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children and parents
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume pediatric/orthodontic setting
• Positive, patient, and team-oriented attitude

Tuesdays and Fridays 9:00 to 6:00 (some days will start at 10:00am)

$500.00 Signing Bonus after 6 months of employment.
