Job Summary:
Senior RDK-B Triage / Broadband Software Engineer responsible for troubleshooting and resolving end-to-end issues across broadband devices and RDK broadband components, including Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, and LTE. The role involves Linux and networking troubleshooting, source-code analysis, packet capture analysis, field issue resolution, DevOps/tool development, and data analysis using AWS services. The engineer will also support anomaly detection, system monitoring, and performance optimization across millions of field devices.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot end-to-end issues across RDK broadband components, including Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, and similar access technologies.
Perform source-code reviews in C/C++ and related platform components to identify and resolve defects.
Diagnose issues using Linux systems, networking protocols, and packet capture analysis.
Analyze logs and system data using tools such as ELK, Splunk, and Grafana
Use AWS S3, Athena, and Quick Sight to analyze data from large-scale field devices.
Work with SQL/Amazon Athena for data analysis and reporting.
Manage and track defects using Jira.
Use Git/GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
Education& Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Equivalent relevant technical education and professional experience may also be considered.
5+ years of experience in software engineering, broadband technology, embedded systems, RDK-B, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and Linux.
Experience troubleshooting broadband/access network technologies such as Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, or LTE.
Strong understanding of networking protocols and packet capture analysis.
Experience with Bash, Python, Go, or another scripting language.
