Re-Melt Operator – 1st Shift
Location: South Beloit, IL
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Re-Melt Operator to join our team in South Beloit, IL. This position works in a foundry environment and is responsible for supporting the melting and processing of metal materials while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate re-melt and related foundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor melting processes and material flow
- Load raw materials into furnaces according to work instructions
- Perform routine inspections and quality checks
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Follow established safety procedures and operating guidelines
- Assist with housekeeping and the cleanliness of the production area
- Communicate equipment or process issues to supervisors as needed
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hot industrial environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Work Environment
This position is performed in a foundry setting with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving machinery. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
