REACH Scientist

Summary:
- Pay Rate: $46 - 52 per hour, W2
- Duration: 12 Month Contract
- Work Mode: 100% Onsite 5 days a week
- Location: Naugatuck, CT
Responsibilities:
- Operate mass spectrometry for characterization of complex systems.
- Focus on European REACH regulations through mass spectrometry experiments and interpretations.
- Interpret data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings to internal customers both verbally and through formal scientific reports.
- Participate in administrative functions including safety programs and performance culture.
- Engage in active lab work, with limited duties potentially performed from a home office as defined by the supervisor.
- Develop separations, determine ionization and analysis parameters, interpret results, and collaborate with other scientists for data/report compilation.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent with 5 years' experience, or BS/MS with 10 years' experience.
- More than 10 years of professional experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including live presentations.
- Advanced expertise in various types of mass spectrometry.
- Competency with GCMS, GCMSMS, and LCMSMS.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic expertise in lubricant chemistry.
- Industrial chemistry experience is a plus.
- Pharmaceutical experience is acceptable.
