    Description

    The Clintonville School District is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Reading Interventionist to provide targeted, evidence-based instruction to students struggling to meet grade-level benchmarks. Successful candidates will also enthusiastically collaborate with colleagues to enhance the program, motivate students and effectively communicate to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide systematic interventions to improve academic achievement for students.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, principals, and other team members to provide high-quality and systematic interventions and complete student progress monitoring.
    • Maintain records as required by the school, district, and/or state in accordance with Title regulations.
    • Monitor and communicate student progress with students, families, teachers and administrators.
    • Use data to diagnose learning difficulties, intervene appropriately, monitor progress, and continually adjust instruction.
    • Assist teachers in identifying, selecting, and modifying instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds and learning styles.
    • Assists building instructional staff in the evaluation of intervention programs.
    • Assist in other instructional and curriculum support responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Teacher certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
    • State of Wisconsin Teacher Licensure in Reading (1316 or 1317, 5017)
    • Knowledge of the WiMLSS process
    • Knowledge of systematic interventions
    • Knowledge of high-leverage teaching practices
    • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with other staff members
    • Ability to design lessons that meet the educational needs of all students
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Understanding of relevant common core standards

    Salary and benefits are determined by the Board of Education in accordance with negotiated salary agreements. Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, long-term disability, WRS retirement and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). Employees may also elect to self-fund Flexible Spending Accounts (health and dependent care), short-term disability, and vision insurance.
