Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

A respected Wisconsin law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its growing business law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate matters in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling complex real estate transactions and advising clients through all phases of acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and related business matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial real estate transactions from initial structuring through closing, including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, letters of intent, and closing documents.
  • Conduct and manage due diligence, including review of title, surveys, zoning, environmental reports, leases, and other real estate-related documents.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases and related agreements for landlords and tenants across a variety of asset types.
  • Advise clients on real estate development matters, including land use, zoning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate financing transactions, including preparation and negotiation of loan documentation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on transactions involving real estate assets, including corporate deals, joint ventures, and related business matters.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm setting
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • J.D. from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
  • Licensed or eligible for admission in Wisconsin
