Starting Salary - $180,000 - $200,000
I am working with a highly regarded law firm seeking a Transactional / Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated Environmental, Land Use, Natural Resources, and Real Estate team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3+ years of transactional / real estate experience who is looking to work on complex, high-profile matters for a diverse client base while gaining significant responsibility and client exposure.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative team that advises developers, public entities, educational institutions, utilities, municipalities, and corporate clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects while developing a well-rounded transactional practice.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of real estate transactional documents
- Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, easements, licenses, and financing transactions
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including title and survey review
- Manage real estate closings and ensure all transaction workstreams are completed accurately and efficiently
- Identify legal and business risks and provide practical solutions to move transactions forward
- Work directly with clients, counterparties, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Support complex development projects across a variety of industries and asset classes
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar admission, or eligibility for admission, in Washington State
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant real estate transactional experience
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to independently manage and advance matters with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- Representing buyers, sellers, developers, or property owners in sophisticated real estate transactions
- Commercial, industrial, and/or residential development projects
- Drafting and negotiating complex acquisition, disposition, and development agreements
- Real estate finance transactions, including lender and borrower-side work
- Title and survey review and analysis
- Managing and coordinating transaction closings
- Advising clients on risk assessment and business-oriented solutions
