Description

The Paralegal will support the legal team with document preparation, research, and administrative tasks related to property transactions. This role ensures accuracy and compliance in legal documentation and assists with the smooth progression of legal matters.

This real estate investment firm is proud to be recognized as an industry leader in the affordable housing sector. They provide sustainable, high-quality homes in 30+ states. This role is hybrid out of their NYC office.

Description

  • Prepare, review, and organize legal documents related to property transactions.
  • Prepare and revise entity formation and governance documents, including operating agreements, limited partnership agreements, formation certificates, incumbency certificates, written consents, resolutions, amendments, and other corporate documents, based on transaction requirements and direction from leadership.
  • Review title, survey, and title commitments and coordinate and prepare responses to title and survey comments from counterparties.
  • Perform due diligence, coordinate transactions, and work with the team to close affordable housing transactions.
  • Conduct legal research to support the legal team's work.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating case files and legal records.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as attorneys, title companies, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations and deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department as needed.
  • Manage and track legal correspondence and filings.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Profile

A successful Paralegal should have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate/corporate paralegal experience. .
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with legal software and tools.

Job Offer
