Compensation

$260,000 – $390,000+

A highly respected AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing institutional lenders, private equity sponsors, debt funds, borrowers, developers, REITs, and investors in sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions.

Ideal Background

3–5 years of commercial real estate finance experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing commercial banks, debt funds, institutional lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, REITs, developers, and real estate investors

• Experience handling mortgage and mezzanine financings, acquisition financings, construction loans, bridge loans, syndicated facilities, CMBS transactions, and portfolio financings

• Experience drafting and negotiating loan agreements, mortgage documents, security agreements, guaranties, intercreditor agreements, and other real estate finance documentation

• Experience conducting due diligence, reviewing title and survey matters, coordinating closings, and managing all phases of complex financing transactions

• Experience working with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development matters is a plus

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated real estate finance transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
