Job Title: Real Estate Investments Associate

Location: Chicago, IL

We are currently partnered with a vertically integrated generalist real estate investment company with a deep understanding and decades of experience in how to best invest throughout the economic cycle. They are focused on the Northeast and Southeast regions with $5 billion in assets under management (AUM). This opportunity will allow you to play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and executing investment opportunities while working closely with senior leadership and contributing to the continued growth of the firm's portfolio.

The Real Estate Investments Associate will be responsible for:

• Evaluate and underwrite potential acquisition opportunities across multiple property types and markets
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow, leveraged return, and sensitivity analyses
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence to support investment decisions
• Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums and presentations for senior leadership and investment committee meetings
• Support the acquisition and disposition process, including coordination with brokers, lenders, attorneys, and third-party consultants
• Analyze portfolio performance and identify strategic opportunities for value creation and risk mitigation
• Assist with debt and equity financing efforts, including lender and investor communications
• Collaborate closely with asset management, development, and capital markets teams to maximize investment performance

The Real Estate Investments Associate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• 3-6+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investments, private equity, investment banking, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling, underwriting, and analytical skills
• Experience evaluating commercial real estate investments across multiple asset classes preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
