The firm maintains a strong litigation practice representing landlords, property owners, and businesses in real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, including a high volume of unlawful detainer matters alongside broader civil litigation.
This Real Estate Attorney position involves managing a 50/50 caseload of unlawful detainer (evictions) and civil real estate/landlord-tenant litigation. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient and collaborative attorney who is comfortable handling cases from inception through resolution, with a strong emphasis on drafting and responding to discovery and appearing regularly in court.
Manage a combined caseload of unlawful detainer actions and civil real estate/landlord-tenant litigation matters
Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions
Develop and execute discovery strategies to support case progression and resolution
Prepare and argue motions, including discovery-related motions (e.g., motions to compel, protective orders)
Appear regularly in court for hearings, case management conferences, and unlawful detainer proceedings
Handle case management responsibilities, including meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with procedural rules
Collaborate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently
Experience in civil discovery, case management, law, and motions
Must have litigation experience, drafting discovery, and handling court appearances.
1 to 4 years of experience in CA Litigation
Real Estate and Probate Background a plus, but not required
Juris Doctorate and California Bar Accreditation required.
Experience with unlawful detainers, landlord-tenant, or real estate litigation strongly preferred
Compensation Range: $150,000 +
401k match up to 4%
