LHH is looking for a Real Estate Legal Assistant for a law firm in Minneapolis. Our client, a respected law firm in Minneapolis, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join its Real Estate practice group. This position provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals handling sophisticated real estate transactions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, and proofread organizational and transactional documents.

  • Create, update, and maintain transaction and closing checklists.

  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients, facilitating communication and document transmission.

  • Assist with real estate transaction closings and related coordination.

  • Prepare and manage closing books and post-closing documentation.

  • Track signature pages, original documents, and other closing-related materials.

  • Maintain critical deadlines and closing calendars.

  • Organize and maintain electronic client files and records.

  • Monitor attorney inboxes and assist with electronic filing and document management.

  • Open new client matters and maintain matter records.

  • Process client invoices, expense reimbursements, and billing-related tasks.

  • Prepare document comparisons and revisions.

  • Form business entities and obtain certificates through the Secretary of State and IRS.

  • Support attorneys and paralegals with special projects and additional assignments as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong interest in real estate law and transactions.

  • Experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

  • Experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant within a law firm, corporate legal department, or real estate environment.

  • Familiarity with legal document preparation and transaction support.

  • Experience with document management and timekeeping software, including iManage, Intapp, and iTimekeep.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $48,000 - $91,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
