LHH is looking for a Real Estate Legal Assistant for a law firm in Minneapolis. Our client, a respected law firm in Minneapolis, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join its Real Estate practice group. This position provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals handling sophisticated real estate transactions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, revise, and proofread organizational and transactional documents.
Create, update, and maintain transaction and closing checklists.
Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients, facilitating communication and document transmission.
Assist with real estate transaction closings and related coordination.
Prepare and manage closing books and post-closing documentation.
Track signature pages, original documents, and other closing-related materials.
Maintain critical deadlines and closing calendars.
Organize and maintain electronic client files and records.
Monitor attorney inboxes and assist with electronic filing and document management.
Open new client matters and maintain matter records.
Process client invoices, expense reimbursements, and billing-related tasks.
Prepare document comparisons and revisions.
Form business entities and obtain certificates through the Secretary of State and IRS.
Support attorneys and paralegals with special projects and additional assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Required
Strong interest in real estate law and transactions.
Experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred
Experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant within a law firm, corporate legal department, or real estate environment.
Familiarity with legal document preparation and transaction support.
Experience with document management and timekeeping software, including iManage, Intapp, and iTimekeep.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $48,000 - $91,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
