Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Real Estate/Property Accountant for our client in Garner, NC.  This position will handle the daily accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of commercial properties.  This position reports to the President and plays an important part in keeping the company financial records accurate and up to date.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Performs monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintains the general ledger and posts journal entries
  • Process tenant rent rolls, late fees and security deposit
  • Handle vendor payments, W-0 compliance and annual 1099 reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual P&L statements by property and entity
  • Financial reporting packages
  • Track rent escalations, percentage rent and CPI adjustments
  • Handle CAM reconciliations and year-end tenant true-ups
  • Assist in preparing operating budgets and variance analysis
  • Maintain lease abstracts
  • Set up new tenants and manage financial onboarding
  • Monitor and reconcile cash across multiple accounts & entities
  • Process wire transfers, ACH payments and intercompany transfers
  • Coordinate debt service, escrow requirements and lender reporting
  • Work with outside CPA firm on tax preparation

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relate field preferred; Minimum of an Associate’s Degree Required
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience
  • Commercial Real Estate/Property Management Industry experience required
  • QuickBooks experience required
  • Strong EXCEL skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
