About the Role

A well-established, privately held insurance agency is seeking a Real Estate Relationship Manager to join its Real Estate P&C department. This role manages and grows a book of middle-market to large P&C insurance clients within the real estate sector, with a strong focus on client retention and relationship development. You'll serve as a key liaison between clients and insurance carriers, ensuring excellent service and smooth execution of client strategies.

This is a relationship-first role — not heavy cold-calling — centered on managing "house accounts" generated through leadership relationships, agency initiatives, and internal referrals. You'll work closely with Account Executives and Producers to retain and grow client relationships, close referred opportunities, and ensure clients stay engaged year-round.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective real estate clients
• Act as a main point of contact for existing clients, partnering with AEs and Producers on retention goals
• Support new business efforts and help close and expand opportunities
• Lead end-to-end client servicing: coverage analysis, renewals, remarketing, quotes, binding, and gap identification
• Manage technical aspects of the book, including policy review and program design
• Attend pre-renewal meetings, client events, trade shows, and networking functions
• Generate qualified leads and referrals from existing clients
• Build and manage relationships with vendors, influencers, and decision-makers
• Participate in strategy discussions for VIP accounts
• Resolve client inquiries, concerns, and claims promptly and effectively
• Maintain accurate records in agency management systems and provide reporting to leadership

What We're Looking For

• 7–10 years of experience in Commercial P&C insurance, ideally with an Account Executive background
• Strong understanding of P&C coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts
• Knowledge of real estate industry trends and relevant coverage/legislation
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• A relationship-driven, sales-oriented personality with strong soft skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Compensation

• Base salary + performance bonus (based on a balanced scorecard, with a strong emphasis on revenue retention)
