Waste Connections of Wyoming is seeking a safety-focused CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for servicing a combination of residential and commercial customers while operating a rear load garbage truck. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
Position Details
+ Position: CDL Rear Load Driver
+ Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour
+ Schedule: Monday through Friday
+ Start Time: 5:00 AM
+ Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week with overtime as needed
+ Route Type: Residential and Commercial Collection
Essential Job Functions
+ Safely operate a rear load garbage truck on assigned collection routes.
+ Service residential and commercial customers in accordance with scheduled route assignments.
+ Read and follow route sheets, work orders, and dispatch instructions.
+ Operate hydraulic controls to collect and unload waste materials.
+ Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
+ Maintain accurate records and comply with all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
+ Transport collected materials to designated disposal or transfer facilities.
+ Provide professional, courteous service to customers and the public.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
+ Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of containers weighing 50 pounds or more.
+ Ability to repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday.
+ Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
+ Exposure to noise, moving mechanical equipment, vibration, dust, and other environmental conditions associated with waste collection operations.
+ Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
Qualifications
+ Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
+ Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and basic truck maintenance.
+ Strong safety mindset and commitment to following company policies and procedures.
+ Previous waste industry experience is preferred but not required.
