Rebar Tier | Commercial Concrete Prep

TradeWorX is hiring experienced Rebar Tiers and Concrete Forming Laborers for commercial concrete work in Cressona, PA. Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience installing reinforcing steel, building and stripping concrete forms, preparing areas for scheduled pours, and supporting commercial concrete crews through each stage of placement.

Pay & Schedule:

• $26 $35 per hour based on verified experience
• Day shift
• Overtime may be available based on project needs
• Anticipated start during the first week of August 2026
• Top pay is reserved for workers who can independently perform rebar placement, tying, forming, and concrete-pour preparation

Job Duties:

• Place, position, and tie reinforcing steel according to layout, spacing, lap, and concrete-cover requirements
• Install rebar chairs, supports, wire mesh, dowels, embeds, and reinforcing accessories
• Build, brace, align, and strip concrete forms for commercial footings, walls, slabs, grade beams, and foundations
• Set form panels, stakes, kickers, walers, bulkheads, and block-outs as directed
• Prepare subgrade, forms, reinforcement, access areas, and materials before scheduled concrete pours
• Assist with layout, elevation checks, form release, pour placement, vibration, screeding, and cleanup
• Inspect forms and reinforcing steel for stability, alignment, cleanliness, and pour readiness
• Maintain safe, organized, and production-ready work areas

Requirements:

• Commercial rebar-tying, concrete-forming, or concrete-preparation experience
• Ability to place and tie reinforcing steel independently
• Experience building, bracing, aligning, or stripping concrete forms
• Understanding of rebar spacing, lap requirements, concrete coverage, embeds, and pour preparation
• Ability to read basic reinforcing layouts, formwork details, measurements, and field markings
• Required rebar-tying and concrete-forming hand tools
• Basic jobsite PPE
• Reliable transportation to Cressona, PA
• Ability to pass a required drug screen and background check

• Ties reinforcing steel efficiently and consistently
• Has commercial formwork and concrete-pour preparation experience
• Understands reinforcing layouts, form alignment, bracing, and concrete placement workflow
• Can identify and correct basic formwork or reinforcement issues before a pour
• Maintains dependable attendance and works safely in a production-focused environment
