Rebuild Mechanic
Job Description
Primary responsibilities include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and assembly of reciprocating engine and compressor components and auxiliary equipment.
Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges and take accurate measurements and assess dimensional integrity of parts.
Collaborate with other team members to analyze inspection results, and develop repair plans for mechanical equipment and instrumentation
Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of disassembled equipment components to prevent damage or loss.
Perform reassembly of repaired or replaced components in accordance with technical specification and quality standards.
Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.
Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, wear required and appropriate PPE.
Observe and follow company health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts when required.
Able to work overtime, nights, weekends as deemed necessary by management.
Work independently in a fast-paced, productive environment.
Record parts and materials used, and process requisition of new parts and material.
