Rebuild Mechanic

Job Description

  • Primary responsibilities include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and assembly of reciprocating engine and compressor components and auxiliary equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges and take accurate measurements and assess dimensional integrity of parts.
  • Collaborate with other team members to analyze inspection results, and develop repair plans for mechanical equipment and instrumentation
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of disassembled equipment components to prevent damage or loss.
  • Perform reassembly of repaired or replaced components in accordance with technical specification and quality standards.
  • Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, wear required and appropriate PPE.
  • Observe and follow company health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts when required.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, weekends as deemed necessary by management.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced, productive environment.
  • Record parts and materials used, and process requisition of new parts and material.
