Cleaveland/Price specializes in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnect switches and switch automation products. The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications.
All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company also utilizes specialized processes, such as MIG and TIG welding, friction welding, silver and tin electroplating, and silver brazing.

Your Goal
To ensure accurate, timely, and organized receipt of manufactured and purchased parts by verifying quantities, utilizing forktrucks and other equipment, and inventory systems. They maintain proper identification and storage to support efficient production flow and inventory accuracy.
Your Responsibilities
- Receive manufactured and purchased parts.
- Verify part counts, quantities, and condition against work orders and documentation.
- Utilize forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move and store materials safely.
- Accurately put away parts into designated inventory locations.
- Use inventory management systems and technology to receive, track, and update material status.
- Create and apply tags or labels to ensure proper part identification and traceability.
- Combine, condense, and organize materials on shelving to maximize space and accessibility.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe receiving and storage areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support material flow and production operations.
Your Background
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling roles.
- Ability to obtain forktruck certification.
- Ability to safely operate or obtain certification on material-handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Ability to read, identify, and verify parts, work orders, labels, and tags accurately.
- Basic computer and technology skills for data entry, scanning, and inventory tracking.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate counts, documentation, and put‑away.
- Effective problem‑solving skills to address discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials.
- Ability to organize, consolidate, and maintain materials to optimize storage space.
- Strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively with fabrication, material handling, and leadership teams.
- Commitment to following all safety rules, OSHA standards, and company policies.
Physical Requirements
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25lbs. of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects that are 10lbs.
- Traverse the entire production floor.
- Ability to wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the shop floor or in other work area where mandated (i.e. steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and/or other applicable PPE).
