SCHEDULE:
Required to work every other weekend & holiday.
The Receiver receives stock and places it in the proper storage areas. Places orders as instructed. Also sweeps, mops, and cleans as needed.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures proper rotation of product and adheres to FIFO at all times.
Performs general sanitation i.e. wipe walls, sweep under shelves, clean equipment, etc.
Ensures proper receiving policies, including taking temperatures of TCS items.
Puts food away in a manner that ensures proper integrity and quality of product.
Continuous maintenance of all product including checking for expiration dates
Manages par levels within department.
Maintains constant communication with Executive Chef around necessary products and suggested specials.
Sweeps, mops, and cleans area as directed throughout shift.
Prioritizes work assignments.
Cleans and maintains work area at all times.
Transports and delivers food to St. Luke's locations and special events, including facilities without on-site cafeteria services (Employees at Grandview, Upper Bucks, Anderson, Bethlehem, and Allentown campuses only).
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Walking for up to 7 hours, 30 minutes at a time; sitting for up to 1 hour at a time and standing up to 1 ½ hours for 30 minutes at a time. Frequently uses handling and occasionally twisting/turning, lifting (1-50 lb.), carrying (1-50 lb.), pushing (1-50 lb.), and pulling (1-50 lb.). When performing essential functions, occasionally involves with stooping/bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder level. Employee must have the ability to hear normal conversation, have general vision, far vision, and peripheral vision.
EDUCATION:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Customer service and/or food service experience preferred, but not necessary. On job training will be provided. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license along with a driving record in compliance with St. Luke's University Health Network policy (Employees at Grandview, Upper Bucks, Anderson, Bethlehem, and Allentown campuses only).
