Job Description

Team Environment

In this role, the nature of the work is dynamic and requires a collaborative attitude. While you will have specific duties, it's important to understand that the entire team is responsible for the final delivery, and this may occasionally involve taking on additional tasks outside your primary responsibilities. The ability to adapt and contribute wherever needed is key to succeeding in this environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in warehouse environments
  • Experience with electronic ticketing systems
  • Experience with electronic inventory management systems
  • Comprehensive computer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), video conferencing platforms, email management, and proficient typing skills (60+ WPM)
  • Familiarity with IT hardware components preferred
  • Understanding of electrostatic discharge safety when handling sensitive computer components (training will be provided)
  • Can lift 50lbs, repeatedly if needed

Material Handler Responsibilities

Receive Freight/Deliveries

  • Receive daily courier deliveries and shipments from carriers and freight-forwarders.
  • Audit newly received shipments for damage and count validation.
  • Scan packing lists for each received shipment for Customer and Inbound Coordinator's tracking and records.
  • Attach POD to Delivery Request in internal IMS tool.
  • Put away equipment into its inventoried location.

Scan/Checkout Hardware

  • Support will-call requests. Customers have the option to come directly to the warehouse to pick up equipment they have previously checked out.
  • Scan inventory to capture serial# and part information. Reallocate server hardware in inventory DB.

Work Order Tickets

  • Action customer's work-order tickets. Responsibilities may include updating the ticket, coordinating with customer to resolve an exception, inventory discovery or hardware move.

Hardware Returns

  • Receive hardware returns from labs and personnel. Will be required to scan inventory, reallocate, store and update ticket.
  • Activities may require reconfigure of server commodities to known working state.

Delivery Requests

  • Create and/or facilitate Delivery Requests to order equipment from inventory.
  • Update internal systems when actioning a Delivery Request.

Logistics Coordination

  • Assist the Logistics Coordinators with odd tasks as needed.

Receiver Responsibilities

In addition to the Material Handler responsibilities outlined above, this role may provide dedicated support for inbound receiving operations.

Receiving Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound shipments received from couriers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal transfer teams.
  • Verify shipment quantities against packing lists and inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Document and escalate receiving exceptions as appropriate.
  • Scan serial numbers, asset tags, and part information into inventory systems to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Label, stage, and coordinate the put-away of newly received equipment into designated inventoried locations.
  • Maintain organized receiving documentation, including packing lists and proof of delivery records, to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and inbound ticket updates within internal systems.

Note: The percentage of time spent performing receiving duties versus general warehouse responsibilities will vary based on operational demand.
