The Receiver/Inspector receives all incoming products from vendors, ensuring proper quality, quantity, and temperature upon arrival. The receiver/inspector is familiar with HACCP, SQF, and USDA/FDA guidelines and procedures and is responsible for the completion of all required paperwork and reporting procedures.
What you’ll do:
Compares actual received product to invoices/packing slips to ensure quantity and quality meets our standards.
Receives warehouse goods and materials, checking them against purchase order and delivery documents to verify quantity and conditions.
Completes all required checklists, reports, and compliance paperwork in a thorough, timely manner.
Troubleshoots and resolves any discrepancies with incoming loads.
Coordinates FDA inspections to resolve any quality issues.
Transports product to proper location using pallet jacks and forklifts; disposes of trash and cardboard using compactor.
Maintains cleanliness of receiving area including loading docks and trash site.
Works with Quality Assurance Team to ensure specific Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed.
Employee shall adhere to all company food safety policies, procedures, and trainings.
About you:
2+ years of previous receiving experience.
Previous quality control experience in a food-related industry preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling, allergen awareness, and USDA/FDA guidelines.
