Warehouse Receiving Clerk
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing incoming work to be received.
- Check shipments for arrival condition and packaging.
- Verify that quantities on Purchase Order match invoice and bill of lading.
- Accounting for correct quantities and sizes.
- Complete receiving document(s) as each shipment is received.
- Place shipment in warehouse location.
- Solving problems with differing requirements and circumstances of orders.
- Communicate with purchasing department to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Complete reports for audits.
- Display honesty and a high level of professionalism.
- File Packing slips in a neat organized fashion.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Specifications:
- Ability to sit or stand in one place for extended periods of time.
- Basic computer skills.
- Should possess basic reading, mathematical and analytical skill sets.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet set targets and deadlines.
- Good written and oral communication skills for interacting and coordinating work within warehouse team members.
- Knowledge of Mach Web, Telnet and Warehouse 2.0 helpful.
Education and Qualifications:
- Desire and ability to work as a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- A positive "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
- High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent certificate from a certified institution.
