Now hiring for a Receiving Associate

Location: Gardena, CA

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: 9 PM - 5 AM

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or distribution training is a plus.
  • Valid TWIC card required prior to assignment.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous receiving, warehouse, distribution, shipping, or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
  • Forklift and electric pallet jack operating experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify inventory and shipping documentation.
  • Ability to work overnight or graveyard shifts.
  • Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety and productivity.

Job Duties

  • Receive and verify inbound shipments using bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Utilize RF scanning equipment to record inventory transactions and maintain accurate warehouse records.
  • Inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, accuracy, and potential damage.
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Label, stage, and transport inventory to designated storage locations.
  • Update inventory information within warehouse management systems.
  • Maintain organized receiving areas and ensure proper product flow throughout the warehouse.
  • Follow established safety, security, and quality procedures.
  • Communicate discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to appropriate personnel.
  • Support overall warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate inventory management.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, and organize products in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and production conditions as required.

What You Will Do

As a Receiving Associate you will receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, prepare outbound orders, verify inventory, organize warehouse stock, complete shipping and receiving documentation, and help maintain accurate inventory records. You will safely move products throughout the warehouse while supporting efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment operations.

A Receiving Associate contributes to efficient warehouse operations by helping products move safely and accurately from receiving through final shipment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

The Receiving Associate works with inventory, shipping documentation, warehouse equipment, and storage systems while maintaining productivity and workplace safety. Accurate work helps ensure customer orders are completed successfully.
