Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Receiving Associate I to support daily warehouse operations by unloading inbound shipments, verifying product accuracy, and ensuring received materials are processed efficiently, safely, and accurately. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory, or warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Unload trucks, pallets, and containers using manual or powered equipment.
- Inspect inbound shipments for damage, discrepancies, or missing items.
- Match received products against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records.
- Label, sort, and stage materials for storage or internal distribution.
- Accurately record received quantities in the warehouse management system.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to supervisors promptly.
- Safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and basic warehouse tools.
- Follow warehouse safety rules, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with receiving leads, inventory control, and warehouse associates to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving and documentation.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including gloves, safety vests, and steel-toe footwear.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, receiving, logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience.
- Experience using a warehouse management system or basic data entry tools.
- Familiarity with pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other warehouse equipment.
