Receiving Associate
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr. - $23.00/hr.
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse and operations team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, maintaining organized storage areas, and supporting the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience operating material handling equipment, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Unload trucks and transport materials to designated storage locations.
- Accurately record received inventory into inventory management systems.
- Label, organize, and stock materials, products, and supplies.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe receiving and warehouse areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to ensure timely material flow.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform other warehouse and material handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control preferred.
- Forklift experience and certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Experience
- Receiving: 1 year (Preferred)
- Forklift Operation: 1 year (Preferred)
- Inventory Control: 1 year (Preferred)
