Position Summary

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through accurate receipts, inspection, inventory stocking, and inventory support of materials. Employees in this position may be assigned to one or both functional areas based on operational requirements. This role helps ensure the efficient flow of materials from receipt through storage and distribution while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production requirements.

 

Functional Area 2 – Inventory Stocking & Support

Employees assigned to Inventory Stocking & Support are responsible for accurate stocking, inventory maintenance, and distribution of materials to support warehouse operations and production.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Verify part identification and visual accuracy prior to stocking.
  • Stock received materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining inventory bin accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper inventory transactions and location control utilizing ERP system.
  • Fulfill production material requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Enter, review, and update inventory production shortages, and other ERP / WMS information to support production planning and procurement awareness.
  • Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and support inventory control initiatives.
  • Collaborating with production teams for improved efficiency
  • Support production needs with offsite warehouse runs.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Has solid math skills and can read a tape measurer.
  • Experience with using a computer and Windows software applications along with accurately counting product and data entry.
  • Can read, speak, and write in English.
  • Have or be willing to obtain a forklift license within 30 days of hire.
  • Able to stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, and lift 40 lbs. on a continuous basis for a 10-hour workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of experience with receiving products in a production or manufacturing environment or similar experience in another industry (food service, retail, etc.)
