Receiving Clerk
Job Location: Benicia, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $20-$21/hour
Schedule: Friday - Tuesday; 6am-2:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations? Our client is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Receiving Clerk to join their distribution center team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with warehouse experience who is comfortable working with inventory, shipping documents, and warehouse technology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and damage
- Verify product quantities and information against purchase orders and shipping documents
- Enter receiving information accurately into the warehouse management system
- Label, sort, and stage products for storage or distribution
- Report shortages, overages, damaged goods, and inventory discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory control
- Use handheld RF scanners and other warehouse technology
- Safely operate material handling equipment as needed
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established business in Benicia, California that specializes in dietary supplements.
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of warehouse, receiving, inventory, or distribution center experience preferred
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience with WMS or inventory software is a plus
- Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, and other shipping documents
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities
- Knowledge of inventory control processes
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
