Description

Qualifications:
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Three years of experience in manufacturing / production of warehouse / distribution required
Demonstrates knowledge relating to receiving
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a dynamic environment according to plant and company objectives
Must be flexible and the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
Disposes of scrap material properly, and recycle used cardboard
Possess current Forklift driver certification for 3 years
Capable of reading and reviewing Packing Slips/Bills

Preferred or Desired Qualifications
Familiar with safety standards for manufacturing environment, including OSHA regulations
Familiar with ERP system, SAP

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Physical Demands:

Lifting and stacking cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
Walking on concrete floor, standing for long periods of time, sitting while operating forklift, and the input of date
May require long hours, weekend work, exposure to industrial noise, dust, chemicals, extreme heat, etc

Responsibilities:
Position Summary

A Receiving Clerk who can assist with unloading delivery trucks and compare received products to packing lists to confirm that all products/material were delivered. Inspect and report materials as they are received in. A great eye for details and basic math skills. Have adequate physical strength to unload deliveries as well as the clerical skills to update records. Responsible for unpacking, verifying and keeping detailed records of the delivery along with their contents, while ensuring a hazard free work environment by utilizing the highest OSHA safety standards.

Essential Duties
Unload product/material from incoming trucks
Communicates with Receiving Lead on all incoming deliveries via email
Inbound shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
Inspect product/material to guarantee they are undamaged
Report any quality issues or equipment defect to direct supervisor or lead
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
Abide by safety regulations while utilizing personnel protective equipment at all times
Maintain housekeeping of receiving department to ensure a clean, orderly and hazard free environment
Good Interpersonal Skills

Good attendance and able to work overtime when necessary.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Maintaining a clean and organized workplace on a daily basis (5S standards).
Understand companywide and department metrics and plan work according to meet those goals.
Work as a team to aid others in upholding and maintaining department productivity, safety standards and on-time delivery.
Attend three times a week stand up department meeting and weekly Safety Chat conducted by supervision and EHS
Provide suggestions and Ideas to continuously improve safety, quality and processes
Perform other duties as requested by supervision
Follow standardized work processes and adhere to safe work practices.
Inspect machines/tools prior to use and understand safety check list requirements.
Understand necessary communication for hazards/risk prevention.
Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, glasses, ear plugs, and safety toe shoes)
Accurately operate and read tape measure, wrapping and banding equipment.
Demonstrate QC part specification knowledge and capable of checking SAP part number on packaged material vs pick tickets.
Understand necessary communication when non-conformities exist.
