Job Summary
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, stocking, and distributing incoming materials. This role requires a high level of accuracy, effective use of inventory and ERP systems, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Essential Functions
• Operate forklifts and hand trucks in accordance with safety policies • Assist with unloading shipments from delivery vehicles • Open inspect and verify contents of incoming shipments • Match shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices • Accurately enter receiving data into the ERP system • Identify document and report damaged, missing, or questionable items to the Supervisor and Purchasing • Route materials to appropriate departments • Maintain accurate receiving reports and documentation • Monitor and process returned materials • Participate in inventory counts and validation activities • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area • Follow all company safety rules and procedures • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Forklift Experience Strong Computer Skills Attention to Detail Strong Math Skills Strong Communication Skills
Ability to identify discrepancies in packing slips, purchase orders, and shipments.
Experience Preferred 1-2 years of warehouse/clerical experience.
Education High School Diploma or GED is required.
