Overview:

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for all duties and functions related to physical receipt of incoming items. The position reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

All duties must be performed according to established policies and standards. Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with the offloading of delivery truck by operating the forklift and moving pallets.
  • Verify the number of incoming boxes, signoff on driver paperwork and complete incoming inspection sheet
  • Bring items to be received from loading dock into the Receiving Area and organize them for ease of processing.
  • Receive domestic shipments according to procedure and deliver items to the intended recipient.
  • Prioritizing the receiving of critical parts as per request from the purchasing group
  • Open each box and verify the physical contents and quantities with the packing slip. Verify the quantities to be received on the receiving invoice or booking.
  • Perform necessary computer transactions to update the inventory.
  • Store the items in their proper bin location.
  • Verify receiving transactions by comparing the total number of items actually received against the total number shipped. Make corrections if required.
  • Forward receiving booking to responsible person for additional processing.
  • Write up a discrepancy report if items received do not match the invoice
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Accounting and the supervisor to resolve any and all receiving issues.
  • Maintain the loading dock area by keeping it neat and organized. Maintain an access walkway through the loading dock at all times.
  • Maintain a file of receiving records for 2 years.
  • When lifting anything around or over 50 pounds, a weightlifting belt must be used.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED; or minimum of 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in using a forklift is preferred
  • Experience in working in ERP systems (i.e. Navision) is preferred

Regular in-office physical presence is an essential function of the role to facilitate real-time collaboration, participate in team problem-solving sessions, attend onsite meeting, and interact face-to-face with cross-functional teams.

    The pay range for this position is expected to be between $19.25 and $21.38 hourly; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
