Summary/Objective: The Receiving Clerk is part of the materials team and creates purchase orders, receives and inspects incoming material/certifications, and packages materials requiring outside processing. This individual will perform system transactions, monitor inventory levels, and distribute materials to various work centers throughout the facility. This individual will possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. In addition, this individual must have a positive attitude and look for innovative ways to continually meet or exceed our customer expectations, both internally and externally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform system transactions for material receipts, and verify product ordered matches product received
  • Perform certification review and document scanning
  • Review safety data sheets, label products as required, including identification of shelf life
  • Perform incoming receiving inspections and ability to use basic inspection tools
  • Perform system transactions, including location adjustments, and assign products to production
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels and locations
  • Manage material flow within the facility; delivering material to designated work center
  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate and correct variances
  • Arrange transportation for material shipping to and from outside processors
  • Ability to utilize forklift and pallet jack to load/unload trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess basic computer skills, including knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office programs
  • Reading, writing, problem-solving, and mechanical skills with hand/eye coordination
  • The ability to teach and train others as needed
  • Individual must be able to work with little to no supervision after the initial training period, showing a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and excellent work ethic
  • Previous MRP/ERP experience helpful
  • Forklift experience preferred

Post-offer drug screen and background checks are required
