Clean Harbors, in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Receiving Coordinator to join their safety conscious team! This team member is responsible for supporting the day-to-day receiving, shipping, tracking, and administrative operations within the facility. This role works closely with lab, transportation, and operations teams to ensure accurate data entry, waste tracking, shipping documentation, and inventory management while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

This is an excellent position for individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 2nd shift (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM).

Overtime opportunities may be based on business needs; however, overtime is not guaranteed.

Hourly Wage: $22.00/HR

What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative support, data entry, logistics coordinator, shipping/receiving administration, inventory control, or a related role;
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and document management skills;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to follow established procedures while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in transportation, logistics, warehouse, environmental services, manufacturing, or industrial environment;
  • Experience preparing shipping documents, manifests, bills of lading, or hazardous waste documentation;
  • Experience using inventory management, ERP, or waste documentation;
  • Knowledge of DOT, EPA, RCRA, or hazardous waste shipping documentation requirements;
  • Experience supporting shipping, receiving, transportation, or laboratory operations;
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data tracking and reporting;

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent computer usage and data entry
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to climb ladders and climb on/off forklifts
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Good hand/eye coordination and depth perception required
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment

  • Perform accurate data entry for laboratory, transportation, drum, and bulk waste tracking activities using internal and external systems;
  • Maintain electronic and physical records by scanning, organizing, and filing documentation related to waste tracking, storage areas, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create, print, and distribute outbound manifests, hazardous waste labels, shipping paperwork, and other required transportation documents;
  • Prepare shipping documentation for rejected materials and ensure proper recordkeeping;
  • Monitor and maintain trailer inventories, shared tracking files, and related operational databases;
  • Maintain inventory levels of office and operations supplies for assigned areas;
  • Partner with Operations, Lab, Transportation, and other departments to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of shipments;
  • Review records and documentation for completeness and accuracy while supporting regulatory compliance requirements;
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company housekeeping standards and best management practices;
  • Adhere to all OSHA, Health & Safety, and company policies and procedures;
  • Perform additional administrative and operation support duties as assigned;
