Job Title: Receiving Attendant

Department: Materials Management

Location: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP)

Summary of Accountabilities: Receipt of inbound orders to include separation by department, entry in Infor Materials Management system, delivery of orders to end users and obtain proof of delivery of orders.

Maintains Receiving Department organization, answers phone calls and assists department with supply order delivery. Validates accuracy of packing slips to goods received and communicates any discrepancies to management. Other duties include driving hospital truck and maintaining vehicles.

Physical/ Working Requirements: Heavy lifting of cases of supplies, linen, mail and equipment. Ability to load/offload vehicles with equipment/supplies on a daily basis to include cold weather, rain, snow, humidity, etc.

Minimum Certifications/Licenses Required: Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License

Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1+ years Healthcare Materials Management experience (Preferred)
