JOB SUMMARY
Receiving personnel are responsible for receiving inventory into Ocean Cold LLC's warehouse. Receivers shall inspect product as it arrives for quality and ensure the accuracy of product labeling. They shall also be responsible for inspecting trailers and containers for cleanliness and sanitary conditions in order to release product from Ocean Cold. Receivers will be working with the Warehouse Management Software (WMS) Footprint on both desktop computers and rugged mobile devices. They will help to maintain the accuracy of the inventory through cycle counts and product inspections. Receivers may also be called upon to work with other warehouse employees on special labeling and restacking orders.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL TASKS
· Physically inspect incoming and outgoing product to ensure it meets quality and safety standards
o Verify label information
o Document Temperature
o Verify case count
o Check for tampering or abuse
REQUIRED: Extra duties as necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM POSITION
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Must be able to communicate in basic English
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND PROTECTIVE GEAR
Cold weather gear, boots, gloves, hairnets, safety vest, tape, box cutters, computers, and forklifts.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Exposed to ambient and cold temperatures.
WORK PATTERN
During peak season will work up to 12-hour shifts and up to 6 days per week.
During slow season will work up to 8 hours shifts and up to 5 days per week.
