About the Job:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Receiving Head Clerk to oversee the accurate and efficient receipt of all non‑perishable merchandise. In this role, you will ensure all incoming deliveries meet Mollie Stone’s Markets’ standards for quality, quantity, and condition. You will maintain a clean, secure, and well‑organized receiving area and backroom to support store operations, reduce shrink, and promote a safe working environment. This position operates primarily within the receiving department and holds full responsibility for managing all merchandise receiving activities.

Essential Functions:

• Receive and verify all incoming non-perishable deliveries.
• Ensure merchandise meets company standards for quality, count, and condition.
• Organize and maintain the backroom for efficient rotation and restocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and enforce security procedures in the receiving area.
• Maintain and inspect receiving equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, balers, forklifts).
• Track and report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns.
• Communicate regularly with Store Manager regarding issues or unusual activity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in receiving, logistics, or inventory control.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be available for early morning shifts (e.g., 2:00 AM – 11:00 AM).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a grocery or retail receiving environment.
• Working knowledge of DSD vendor procedures and store receiving systems.
• Forklift certification or experience using power equipment.
• Familiarity with Mollie Stone’s market’s products and operations.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Maintain operational control of the receiving area.
• Work collaboratively with vendors and store departments to streamline processes.

Pay Range:

$30.66/hour

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
• Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
• Bending/Kneeling: Frequently throughout the shift.
• Walking: Frequently across backroom and sales floor.
• Reaching/Pushing/Pulling: Frequently to move product and carts.
• Must be able to operate equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and box cutters.
• Work in refrigerated environments (40–45°F) and outdoor conditions.

Travel Requirements:
None required.

Other Duties:

• Assist with stocking groceries, dairy, and frozen items when needed.
• Support front-end operations during peak times.
• Participate in inventory counts and store cleanliness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate invoice records and assist with returns/credits.
