The Receiving Inspector - 3rd Shift is responsible for performing mechanical and visual inspections on incoming purchased parts, assemblies, in-process, and finished products.
Essential duties include inspecting hardware using TIPQA software and approved plans, verifying dimensions, angles, radii, surface finishes, and material specifications with precision measuring instruments.
Work involves simple to complex setups on surface plates and occasional layout of castings or blanks prior to machining.
Maintain logs, document non-conformances, and record inspection data in business databases.
Required skills include 3-5 years of aircraft component inspection experience, C.M.M. expertise (preferably Zeiss Calypso), with a high school diploma (college preferred).
