Position Summary: The Receiving Specialist is responsible for physical and systems handling of inbound materials and inventory transactions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). This position works with the Inventory Control Supervisor and Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor and serves as the primary point of contact for receiving and printing purchase orders, inbound containers, and intercompany transfers while supporting production receiving and transfers to the Distribution Center (DC). The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and timely communication across Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Logistics. As scoped, this role will support the DCC production and the DCC DC Transfers as needed. Primary Competencies: · Verify invoice to packing slip and keep paperwork organized · Ability to ensure descriptions and quantities reflect purchase orders and invoices · Sign, date and scan finished purchasing lists · Verify where received inventory needs to be moved to amongst facility · Cross communication with other departments on purchase orders, errors, certificates received · Printing of labels, inspections sheets, and geometric reports · Receive and process purchase orders, inbound containers, and domestic/international shipments in Business Central (BC). · Receive, ship, and process intercompany and warehouse transfer orders while maintaining complete transaction accuracy. · Support Production DCC receiving activities and coordinate transfers from production to the warehouse. · Verify packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, certificates of conformance, and shipping documentation. · Inspect received materials for quantity, condition, lot numbers, and product identification; resolve discrepancies before receipt. · Maintain accurate inventory transactions and receiving records in Business Central. · Print receiving labels, transfer documentation, and required production paperwork. · Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Quality, Planning, and Transportation to resolve receiving issues. · Communicate shortages, damaged freight, incorrect shipments, and documentation discrepancies promptly. · Ensure FIFO and lot traceability requirements are maintained throughout the receiving process. · Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and receiving efficiency. · Maintain organized electronic and physical receiving records in accordance with company procedures Qualifications: · Data entry/computer skills · High school diploma or equivalent. · Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) or similar ERP system preferred. · Receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred. · Strong computer, data entry, and organizational skills. · Ability to interpret purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation. · Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
